Dipel L Plus provides a real alternative for the responsible pest management because it is the only biological insecticide that helps to control caterpillars without any contamination risk.
It proposes a purely biological technology that prioritizes the environment and human health care, with an efficacy of action comparable to traditional or chemical synthesis insecticides.
It acts by ingestion of treated foliage and controls Lepidoptera caterpillars exclusively. It is developed to be applied on soybean crops, pastures, cereals, sunflower, tabacco, vegetables, fruit trees, grapevine.
It is formulated based on Bacillus thuringensis, var. Kurstaki. It is suitable for integrated and responsible pest management due to its low toxicity, residuality and high selectivity toward the beneficial fauna (green band).
Advantages:
• It acts by ingestion of treated foliage and controls Lepidoptera larvae (caterpillars) exclusively.
• It is applicable to soybean crops, pastures, cereals, sunflower, tabacco, vegetables, fruit trees and grapevine.
• It is formulated based on Bacillus Thuringiensis, var. Kurstaki.
• It has low toxicity, residuality and high selectivity toward the beneficial fauna (green band).

More Information
Composition
Bacillus thuringiensis, var. kurstaki…………………………………………….. 3,5 grs/L.
Solvent and emulsifier……………………….. c.s.p……………………………… 100 cm3
Technical characteristics
• Insecticide potency: 17.600UIP – mg/minimum 27,5 mil million viable spores per gram – 33,6 g/L.
• Chemical group: Biological insecticide.
• Mode of action: Ingestion.
• Formulation: Concentrate suspension.
• Toxicological class: IV / Little toxic.
Time of application
1. Due to the mechanism of action of Dipel L Plus (similar to the IGR’s of chemical synthesis), the treatment must be carried out preventively from the beginning of adult flight and oviposition, extending this period up to L1 – L3 stages.
2. Before the presence of larvae of greater size (greater than 1 cm), it is recommended to mix Dipel L Plus with some insecticide that acts by turning over.
Mode of action
Caterpillars feed on leaves treated with Dipel L Plus. After the ingestion of two crystals and VIP3 proteins, these are dissolved and they activate due to the joining together of different receptors of the digestive system membrane. The caterpillar stops feeding immediately. After that, the spores germinate and penetrate into the hemolymph causing septicemia (generalized infection). The caterpillar dies within a period from 1 to 3 days.
